For his soul was pleasing to the Lord, therefore he took him quickly from the midst of wickedness: Once again the connector for may be omitted. This verse largely repeats verse 10, without the idea of love, but adding quickly. Quickly here does not mean “suddenly,” and again, contrary to Good News Translation, Enoch is not involved. We could say, for example, “They please the Lord, so he does not hesitate to remove them from this wicked world.” However, the subject of the last line is ambiguous, so we could also translate this way: “They please the Lord, so they hurry away from all this wickedness.” The Handbook prefers the first of these two.
