And one here and another there that is, “All over the land” (Good News Translation).

Hurled down half dead, made known why they were dying: Hurled down half dead may be expressed “as they lay dying.”

A possible model for the whole verse is:

• All over the land, as they lay dying, they let people know why they were dying.
