For what was done will be punished together with him who did it: The connector for may be rendered “and” (see the models below). The two different Greek verbs translated was done and did both refer more easily to something done rather than something made. A possible model is “and he will equally punish the evildoers together with their deeds” (similarly Contemporary English Version). Or we follow Good News Translation, saying “and he will punish both the things made and the people who made them.” An even simpler solution may be simply to say “and he will punish them both.”
