You made me glad may be rendered “you made my heart happy.”

It has not turned out as I expected: Compare Job 3.25. Good News Translation has “my worst fears did not come true” and Contemporary English Version “I expected a tragedy, but it did not happen.”

You have dealt with us according to your great mercy: Compare Psa 69.16; 106.45. Another way to say this is “you have been very kind to us”
