And a young man ran and told Moses: The Hebrew word for young man does not indicate a specific age, but Revised Standard Version‘s rendering is more likely than “boy” in Contemporary English Version. This word has the definite article on it in Hebrew, which suggests he was a known person at that time. Some suggest he was Joshua (verse 28).
