Righteous is commented on at 1.19, where it is translated “just.” Die Bibel im heutigen Deutsch has “those who have done God’s will,” which clearly is the contextual meaning.

Lord (so most translations) is here best understood in the full Christian sense of the word; Barclay has “Sir,” which is satisfactory for other contexts but falls short here.

Or thirsty and give thee drink? may require the repetition of the first part of the sentence: “When did we ever see you thirsty and give you something to drink?” or “… and give you water to drink?”
