But: in some languages it will be important to use a transition word here that shows the contrast between the parts of the animal that were burned as a sacrifice and those parts that had to be taken out of the camp. This has not been done in Good News Translation.

The bull: that is, what remained of the bull after the fatty parts mentioned in the previous verse had been burned on the altar. Note that Good News Translation has “the rest of the bull.”

Burned with fire: the addition of the words with fire will be considered redundant and will therefore be omitted in some languages. See 6.30.
