Translation commentary on Leviticus 6:15

One: the Hebrew text has only the pronoun “he,” but the reference is clearly to “one of the priests.” New International Version translates simply “the priest.” Good News Translation has related “he” to “An Aaronite priest” in the previous verse.

A handful: in some languages it may be more natural to say something like “shall fill his hand with fine flour taken from the cereal offering” or “shall remove from the cereal offering some fine flour with his cupped hand.”

On the technical terms in this verse, see 1.9 and 2.1, 2.
