Thus all the days: Thus introduces the conclusion to Adam’s genealogical report, the statement about his death. See comment at the opening of this chapter. All the days means here “his entire life” or “the length of his life.” New International Version says it clearly: “Altogether, Adam lived 930 years, and then he died.” We may also say, for example, “After living for 930 years he died” or “When he was 930 years old he died.”
