Thus the lamb and the meal offering and the oil shall be provided, morning by morning, for a continual burnt offering: This verse summarizes the previous two verses. Meal offering renders the same Hebrew term translated “cereal offering” in verse 14. A model for this verse is:

• Every morning they [or, the priests] will sacrifice a lamb, some flour, and some olive oil. They will burn them as a sacrifice to me [Yahweh] every day without fail.
