And there was a gate on the south of the inner court: Like the other outer gatehouses, the south one also had a gatehouse across from it leading into the inner courtyard. See the comments on verse 19.

And he measured from gate to gate toward the south, a hundred cubits: See verse 19. New English Bible and Revised English Bible omit toward the south, but Hebrew Old Testament Text Project recommends keeping it. However, it may be left implied (so Good News Translation, Contemporary English Version, New Living Translation).
