I will establish my covenant with you: See verse 60. The focus returns to God at the beginning of this verse in exactly the same way as at the beginning of verse 60. As there, it begins with the Hebrew waw conjunction and an emphatic pronoun, which may be rendered “So I” (New International Version) or “Nevertheless, I.”

And you shall know that I am the LORD: The recognition formula that people will know God by his actions reappears at the end of this chapter to emphasize the renewed covenant that God will make with his people.

A model for this verse is:

• Nevertheless, I will renew my agreement with you, so that you will know that I am Yahweh.
