Translation commentary on 2 Kings 15:11

Much of this verse is the normal statement about the remaining actions of a king. See the comments on 1 Kgs 11.41 and 14.19.

The Hebrew word translated deeds here is the same as the word for “acts” in 1 Kgs 11.41 as well as most other places where this formula is used previously.

As in 1 Kgs 14.19, the Hebrew focusing particle translated behold is added to the formula. Most modern translations, however, ignore this detail. It will also be noted that the information is in the form of a statement rather than a question.
