And the priests could not enter the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD filled the LORD’s house: See the comments on 2 Chr 5.14. This verse emphasizes the inability of the priests to go into the Temple. They were not simply afraid or unwilling to enter, but they were unable to do so.

The house of the LORD and the LORD’s house render the same expression in Hebrew. Because of this it may be better in some languages to translate the second of these two expressions with a pronoun as Good News Translation has done.

Good News Translation reverses the order of the two clauses in this verse. Good News Translation gives the reason for the priests inability to enter the Temple before stating the actual fact. However, most languages will probably find it more natural to adopt the order of Revised Standard Version.
