And there I have set the ark: There means “in the Temple” (Good News Translation). In many languages it will be appropriate to make this information explicit rather than translating the adverb of place literally. This element may also need to be placed later in the sentence in some languages.

In which is the covenant of the LORD: The Hebrew says literally that the covenant of the LORD is in the ark. But the ark did not contain the covenant itself, but rather the objects which represented the covenant and on which the agreement was written (see the comments on 2 Chr 5.10). Translations that make this clear are “the stone tablets of the covenant” (Good News Translation), “the covenant document” (Bible en français courant), and “the slabs of the covenant” (Die Bibel im heutigen Deutsch).

Which he made with the people of Israel is literally “which he cut with the children of Israel.” See the comments on 2 Chr 5.10.
