So renders the common Hebrew conjunction. It is probably best taken as a logical connector as in Revised Standard Version, Good News Translation, and most other versions.

All the service of the LORD was prepared that day: Good News Translation and New Century Version render the service of the LORD as “the worship of the LORD,” which is a helpful model. The passive verb was prepared will have to be made active in some languages. This may be done in some cases by using a third person plural indefinite subject, or the agent may be more definitely stated as “the priests and Levites.”

And to offer burnt offerings on the altar of the LORD: See the comments on 1 Chr 6.49 and 16.1.

According to the command of King Josiah may be rendered “as King Josiah had commanded them.” In some languages it will be more natural to shift this clause forward to a position near the beginning of the verse as in Good News Translation.
