After this Judas appointed leaders of the people, in charge of thousands and hundreds and fifties and tens: Compare Exo 18.21. Good News Bible deals with this verse in a clear and straightforward way, but we may also keep Revised Standard Version‘s ordering of the various groups by saying:

• After that, Judas divided his men into groups of a thousand, groups of a hundred, groups of fifty, and groups of ten, and put an officer in charge of each group.
