When we gain control of our kingdom refers to Antiochus’ anticipated success against Trypho, and may be expressed as “As soon as I get my kingdom back” (Contemporary English Version) or “As soon as I get control of the lands that belong to me.”

We will bestow great honor upon you and your nation and the temple: In return for Simon’s cooperation, Antiochus promises special favors to Simon personally and to the Jewish people and their Temple. This clause may be expressed as “I will cause you, your people, and the Temple to receive great honor.”

So that your glory will become manifest in all the earth: The pronoun your is plural in Greek, referring to the Jewish people. Good News Bible makes this clear by rendering your glory as “the glory of your country.” An alternative model for this clause is “so that everyone in the world will hear about the greatness of your people [or, the Jewish people].”

This ends Antiochus’ letter beginning in verse 2.
