As noted in the discussion on verse 36, some interpreters consider Bezer, Hod, and Shamma to be the sons of Imna and not the sons of Zophah. Morever, these same interpreters think that the Hebrew word “sons” (bny) accidentally was omitted before the name Shilshah, whom they identify with Hotham’s third son Shelesh (verse 35). The sons of Shelesh would then be Ithran and Be-era.
It is very likely that verses 36 and 37 list sons of Imna and Shelesh, but there is no manuscript support for this conjecture, so the Masoretic Text should be followed here.
