Exegesis:
kai eboēsen ‘and he cried out.’ When boaō is compared to krazō (v. 39), the latter is the stronger in meaning.
Iēsou, huie Dauid ‘Jesus, Son of David.’ huios means here ‘male descendant.’ The phrase ‘Son of David’ is a Messianic title.
eleēson me ‘have pity on me,’ cf. on 17.13.
Translation:
Cried, or, ‘shouted,’ ‘called out loudly.’
Have mercy on me, cf. on 1.50.
