7:20a The three companies blew their horns and shattered their jars.

All three groups blew their trumpets and broke their clay jars.

7:20b Holding the torches in their left hands

With their left hand they held the torches

They held up the torches in their left hand

7:20c and the horns in their right hands,

and with their right hand they held the trumpets to blow them.

and held the trumpets in their right hand to blow them.

7:20d they shouted, “A sword for the LORD and for Gideon!”

They cried, “A sword for Yahweh and for Gideon.”

Then they all started shouting, “Fight for Yahweh and for Gideon.”
