3:24a After Ehud was gone, Eglon’s servants came in and found the doors of the upper room locked.

After Ehud had gone the servants arrived and saw that the doors were locked.

After he had gone out, the officials ⌊of the king⌋ came to see him. ⌊But when they came to his room⌋ they saw that the doors were locked.

3:24b “He must be relieving himself in the cool room,” they said.

They said, “The king must be defecating inside.”
