3:20a Then Ehud approached him while he was sitting alone in the coolness of his upper room.

Ehud approached the king who was sitting in the upper room of his house

King Eglon was sitting alone in a room upstairs in his palace. Ehud went close to him

3:20b “I have a word from God for you,” Ehud said,

and said, “I have a message for you from God.”

and told him that he had a message for him from God.

3:20c and the king rose from his seat.

Then the king got up from his seat.
