19:15a They stopped to go in and lodge in Gibeah.

So they stopped to spend the night there.

And that was where they stopped to find a place to sleep.

19:15b The Levite went in and sat down in the city square,

They went to the town gathering place and sat down,

They sat down in the open area of the town ⌊waiting for an invitation to someone’s house⌋ .

19:15c but no one would take them into his home for the night.

but no one took them into their home to spend the night.

But nobody invited them in.
