17:9a “Where are you from?” Micah asked him.

Micah asked him, “Where do you (sing.) come from?”
-or-
Micah asked him where he was from.

17:9b “I am a Levite from Bethlehem in Judah,” he replied,

He answered, “I am a Levite from Bethlehem in Judah.
-or-
He said he was a Levi person who had been living in Bethlehem in the land of Judah,

17:9c “and I am on my way to settle wherever I can find a place.”

I am looking for a place to live.”
-or-
and that he was looking for another place to live.
