SIL Translator’s Notes on Judges 15:19

15:19a So God opened up the hollow place in Lehi,

Then God split open the deep hollow which was at Lehi.
-or-
So God opened the place ⌊in the ground⌋ in Lehi that was shaped like a basin/bowl
-or-
Then God caused the hollow in the rock at Lehi to split open

15:19b and water came out of it.

Water flowed out from it.
-or-
and water came out.
-or-
so that water came out.

15:19c When Samson drank, his strength returned, and he was revived.

Samson drank the water and his strength came back and he was refreshed.
-or-
Samson regained his strength and felt refreshed after he drank some of the water.

15:19d That is why he named it En-hakkore,

Therefore he called the spring En Hakkore.
-or-
Because of that, Samson named the place En Hakkore ⌊which means “Spring of the person who called for help⌋ .”

15:19e and it remains in Lehi to this day.

To this day, it is still in Lehi.
-or-
That spring is still there today.
