10:10a Then the Israelites cried out to the LORD,

Then the people of Israel prayed to Yahweh ⌊for help⌋ .

Then the Israelites begged Yahweh ⌊to help them⌋ .

10:10b saying, “We have sinned against You, for we have indeed forsaken our God and served the Baals.”

They said, “We have sinned against you. We have abandoned our God and served the Baal gods.”

They confessed to him, “We have left you and have worshiped the Baals. What we have done is wrong.”
