Section 2:10–19

God promised to bless Israel if they obeyed him

2:10a On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius,

⌊It happened⌋ in the second year of the ⌊reign of⌋ Darius, on the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month.

⌊It happened⌋ on the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month of the second year, when ⌊king⌋ Darius ⌊ruled the people of Persia⌋ .

2:10b the word of the LORD came to Haggai the prophet, saying,

⌊On that day
,⌋ Yahweh revealed/spoke His word to the prophet Haggai.
