3:6a He stood and measured the earth;
(New International Version) He stood, and shook the earth;
He stands still, and the earth shakes.

3:6b He looked and startled the nations;
He looks at the nations, and they tremble with fear.

3:6c the ancient mountains crumbled; the perpetual hills collapsed.
Then the ancient mountains fall down, and the very old hills are broken completely.

He will break into pieces the mountains and hills that existed for a very long time.

You (sing.) will crush and make flat old mountains and hills which have stood since long ago.
3:6d His ways are everlasting.
