Ezra and other Jews traveled from Babylon to Jerusalem

7:1a Many years later, during the reign of Artaxerxes king of Persia,

¶ At a later time⌊ ⌋ , when Artaxerxes ruled Persia,

¶ Then during the time that Artaxerxes was the king of Persia,

¶ Many years later Artaxerxes became the chief/ruler of ⌊the country of⌋ Persia. While Artaxerxes was chief/ruler,

7:1b Ezra son of Seraiah, the son of Azariah, the son of Hilkiah,

⌊there was a man named⌋ Ezra. He was the son of Seraiah, who was the son of Azariah, who was the son of Hilkiah,

⌊a certain Jew called⌋ Ezra ⌊departed from Babylon⌋. Ezra’s father was Seraiah. Seraiah’s father was Azariah. Azariah’s father was Hilkiah.

I, Ezra, ⌊went from Babylon to Jerusalem⌋. My ancestors are my father Seraiah, my grandfather Azariah, then Hilkiah,
