6:18a They also appointed the priests by their divisions and the Levites by their groups

They divided/assigned the priests into their groups, and the men of the clan of Levi into their groups,

6:18b to the service of God in Jerusalem,

in order to serve God in Jerusalem ⌊in/by turns⌋.

6:18c according to what is written in the Book of Moses.

This was done just as Moses instructed/said in the Book ⌊of the Law⌋.
