So the Jewish elders continued building ⌊the house of God⌋ and ⌊the work⌋ advanced

6:14b through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah son of Iddo.

as a result of the prophesies/words/messages of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah, the grandson of Iddo.

The prophets Haggai and Zechariah encouraged ⌊them to do the work⌋ through the word ⌊from God⌋ that they spoke. Zechariah’s ancestor was a man called Iddo.

6:14c They finished building according to the command of the God of Israel
