SIL Translator’s Notes on Ezra 2:63

2:63a The governor ordered them not to eat the most holy things

The ⌊Jewish⌋ governor told them that they could not to eat any part of the special bread which ⌊the priests⌋ had consecrated to God
-or-
And so the governor ⌊of the community⌋ commanded them not to eat the food offered ⌊as a sacrifice⌋ to God.

2:63b until there was a priest to consult the Urim and Thummim.

until ⌊the day when⌋ there would be a priest serving ⌊before Yahweh⌋ with the Urim and Thummim, ⌊lots/stones which were used to know God’s will/decision⌋.
-or-
They had to wait until ⌊a time when⌋ there would be a sacrificer ⌊who could decide/judge the affair/problem⌋ using ⌊the sacred stones that were called⌋ the Urim and Thummim.
