4:37a–b

sold a field he owned, brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet: Barnabas is an example of the people described in 4:34b–35a.

4:37a

field: This word in Greek refers to places where people planted things or where animals grazed.

4:37b

money: This word in Greek is singular and so probably refers to all of the money that Barnabas got from selling the land.

laid it at the apostles’ feet: This clause indicates that Barnabas put the money under the control of the apostles.
