6:8a Now the king of Aram was at war against Israel.

At that time Aram’s king was at war with Israel.

In those days the king of Aram ⌊and his men⌋ were fighting the ⌊men of⌋ Israel.

-or-

There was ⌊continual⌋ war between the king of Aram/Syria and Israel’s king.

6:8b After consulting with his servants, he said,

He had a meeting with his officers. He said ⌊to them⌋ ,

He consulted his advisors and decided on

-or-

The king of Aram/Syria called his staff/military officers for a meeting. He told them

6:8c “My camp will be in such and such a place.”

“This is the place where I want my/our army to camp.”

-or-

the area where he wanted his men/army to make camp.

-or-

where he was intending to send his army.
