SIL Translator’s Notes on 2 Kings 25:11

25:11a Then Nebuzaradan captain of the guard carried into exile the people who remained in the city,

Nebuzaradan the captain/chief of the guard then took into captivity the people who were still left in the city.

-or-

Nebuzaradan then forced the people who remained in Jerusalem to leave their homeland.

25:11b along with the deserters who had defected to the king of Babylon and the rest of the population.

He also took all the other people ⌊of Judah⌋ including those who had defected/gone over to the king of Babylon.

-or-

⌊He took them to Babylon,⌋ along with those who had already given themselves up to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the population.
