19:25a Have you not heard?

“But have you (sing.) not heard?

19:25b Long ago I ordained it;

Long ago I determined/decided this.

19:25c in days of old I planned it.

In ancient times I arranged it,

I made plans for this a long time ago.

19:25d Now I have brought it to pass,

and now I am bringing it to pass.

Now I have caused it to happen.

19:25e that you should crush fortified cities into piles of rubble.

I gave you (sing.) the power to turn fortified cities into piles of rubble.

⌊I have allowed⌋ you to conquer strong cities and turn them into heaps of ruins.
