SIL Translator’s Notes on 2 Kings 17:41

17:41a So these nations worshiped the LORD

Even as they were worshiping Yahweh,

-or-

So while these new residents worshiped Yahweh, (New Living Translation (2004))

17:41b but also served their idols,

they were serving their idols too.

-or-

they also worshiped the idols that they had made.

17:41c and to this day their children and grandchildren continue to do as their fathers did.

In these days/times their children and their grandchildren are still doing what their ancestors did.

-or-

Even now their descendants do the same.
