16:6a At that time Rezin king of Aram recovered Elath for Aram,

About that same time, King Rezin of Aram regained control of ⌊the city of⌋ Elath for Aram.

⌊While Ahaz was ruling Judah,⌋ King Rezin of Aram/Syria took back Elath ⌊city⌋ .

16:6b drove out the men of Judah,

He chased/sent away from Elath the people belonging to ⌊the tribe of⌋ Judah.

-or-

He forced the people of/from Judah ⌊who were living there⌋ to leave Elath.

16:6c and sent the Edomites into Elath,

The people of Edom came/went to ⌊live in⌋ Elath

-or-

Then some of the people of Edom arrived ⌊and began to live⌋ there.

16:6d where they live to this day.

and have lived there ever since.

Today they are still living there.
