In the thirty-eighth year of Uzziah’s ⌊reign⌋ over Judah,

Thirty-eight (38) years after Uzziah had become king of Judah,

15:8b Zechariah son of Jeroboam became king of Israel,

Zechariah son of Jeroboam became the king of Israel. He reigned/ruled from ⌊the city of⌋ Samaria

-or-

Jeroboam’s son Zechariah began to reign/rule over Israel from ⌊his capital city⌋ Samaria.

15:8c and he reigned in Samaria six months.

for six months.

He reigned/ruled for half a year.
