11:15a And Jehoiada the priest ordered the commanders of hundreds

Then Jehoiada the priest gave orders to the army captains,

11:15b in charge of the army,

the officers of the armed force,

who commanded the soldiers there

11:15c “Bring her out between the ranks,

“Take (plur.) her away to the guards ⌊waiting/standing⌋ outside!

to drag/force Athaliah ⌊out from the temple⌋ to the lines of soldiers ⌊before killing her⌋ .

11:15d and put to the sword anyone who follows her.”

Kill/Execute also any person who tries to defend her!”

He also told them to cut down all her followers.

11:15e For the priest had said,

Jehoida had told the guards that

11:15f “She must not be put to death in the house of the LORD.”

“She must not be executed in Yahweh’s house.”
