The prophet Elijah condemned King Ahaziah

1:1 After the death of Ahab, Moab rebelled against Israel.

⌊The land/country of⌋ Moab rebelled against Israel when/after King Ahab died.

Ahab the king of Israel died. ⌊The people who lived in⌋ Moab ⌊country⌋ then refused/rejected the rule/authority of Israel.

-or-

When/After ⌊Israel’s king⌋ Ahab died, the Moabites refused to be subject/obedient to ⌊the king/kingdom⌋ of Israel any longer.
