10:25a When he had finished making the burnt offering,

When Jehu had finished presenting the burnt offering,

So the moment Jehu had finished burning the offering,

10:25b Jehu said to the guards and officers,

he commanded the guards and the officers,

-or-

he ordered the guards and officers

10:25c “Go in and kill them.

“Enter (plur.) the house/temple and kill the people ⌊inside⌋ .

-or-

to rush inside and kill everyone ⌊there⌋ .

10:25d Do not let anyone out.”

You must not let anyone escape.”

-or-

He said that they should not allow any of them to escape.

10:25e So the guards and officers put them to the sword,

So the guards and officers killed them with their swords.

So the guards and officers ⌊went/rushed in and⌋ slaughtered/massacred the people/worshipers.

10:25f threw the bodies out,

Then they threw their bodies outside

After dragging the dead bodies out of the temple,

10:25g and went into the inner room of the temple of Baal.

and went into the inner chamber within the house of Baal.

they ⌊themselves⌋ entered the temple sanctuary.
