4:18a So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.

(English Standard Version) as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen.

while we (excl.) set our gaze on what is unseen rather than on what is seen.
-or-
We keep our attention on things that cannot be seen, instead of ⌊keeping our attention on⌋ things that can be seen.

4:18b For what is seen is temporary,

We do that⌋ because the things that are seen will not last forever,
-or-
Things that can be seen are only temporary. (God’s Word)

4:18c but what is unseen is eternal.

but the things that are unseen will last forever.
-or-
But things that can’t be seen last forever. (God’s Word)
