5:7a Then the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD

Then the priests took the ark of Yahweh’s covenant

After that, the priests carried the box that held Yahweh’s covenant

The sacrificers then moved the chest in which was Yahweh’s solemn agreement.

5:7b to its place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, the Most Holy Place,

to its place in the inner room of the temple. That room was the holiest place of all.

into the inner room of the temple. That room was the place that was most sacred.
-or-
They moved it to the place assigned for it in the inner room of ⌊God’s⌋ house, the Very Holy Place.

5:7c beneath the wings of the cherubim.

They put the ark under the wings of the cherubs.

They placed it below the wings of the winged guardians.

They set it down underneath the wings of the ⌊statues of the two⌋ angels.
