36:23a “This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:

36:23b ‘The LORD, the God of heaven, who has given me all the kingdoms of the earth,

‘Yahweh, the God who is in heaven, has given me ⌊authority to rule⌋ all the kingdoms of the earth.

‘Yahweh, the God ⌊who rules⌋ from heaven, has made me king of all the countries of the world.

36:23c has appointed me to build a house for Him at Jerusalem in Judah.

He has chosen me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in ⌊the land of⌋ Judah.

He told me to build a house ⌊for people to worship⌋ him in Jerusalem in Judah.

36:23f Whoever among you belongs to His people,

To any of you(plur) who are his people, I give permission to go up ⌊to Jerusalem⌋.
