32:9a Later, as Sennacherib king of Assyria and all his forces besieged Lachish,

Then Sennacherib the Assyrian king and his army surrounded Lachish,

King Sennacherib the king of Assyria and his army camped around Lachish Town ⌊to force them to surrender⌋.

32:9b he sent his servants to Jerusalem with a message for King Hezekiah of Judah

and he sent his officers to Jerusalem. They had a message for Hezekiah king of Judah

Then he sent his military leaders to Jerusalem to deliver a message to King Hezekiah, Judah’s king.

32:9c and all the people of Judah who were in Jerusalem:
