SIL Translator’s Notes on 2 Chronicles 32:26

32:26a Then Hezekiah humbled the pride of his heart—

Then Hezekiah asked Yahweh for forgiveness for how proud he had become,
-or-
But King Hezekiah asked Yahweh to forgive him for his pride.

32:26b he and the people of Jerusalem—

and Jerusalem’s people ⌊asked Yahweh for forgiveness⌋ for how proud they had become.
-or-
And the people of Jerusalem did the same.

32:26c so that the wrath of the LORD did not come upon them during the days of Hezekiah.

So Yahweh did not show his anger while King Hezekiah was still alive.
-or-
As a result, Yahweh did not punish them for this until after King Hezekiah died.
