32:21a and the LORD sent an angel

So Yahweh sent them an angel.

Yahweh answered them by sending one of his angels.

32:21b who annihilated every mighty man of valor and every leader and commander in the camp of the king of Assyria.

He killed the entire army of Assyria along with its generals and military officers who were camping with the king ⌊outside the city⌋.
-or-
The angel destroyed King Sennacherib’s entire army, including the people in charge of the army and all of its leaders.

32:21c So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace.

So the king was ashamed and retreated back to where he had come from.

Then in shame, King Sennacherib left and returned to his own country.

32:21d And when he entered the temple of his god,

Later he entered the temple of his god

After he returned, King Sennacherib was in the house of his god.

32:21e some of his own sons struck him down with the sword.

and some of his own sons killed him with their swords.

While he was there, some of his very own sons killed him.
