31:5a As soon as the order went out,

As soon as Hezekiah issued the order,

King Hezekiah told ⌊the people to present their gifts to Yahweh⌋.

31:5b the Israelites generously provided the firstfruits of the grain, new wine, oil, and honey, and of all the produce of the field,

the Israelites gave a large amount from the first portion of what their fields produced. There was grain, new wine, olive oil and honey.

Immediately the people of Israel brought a large quantity of grain, wine, olive oil and honey from the first part of their harvest.

31:5c and they brought in an abundance—a tithe of everything.

They brought a tenth of this produce, and it was a large quantity.
